No. Payit is an online payment method on our website. You can use it to make payments on your desktop, laptop, mobile or tablet.
No, it doesn’t have to be used on a mobile or tablet. You can use Payit on a web browser, although the journey will be even smoother on a mobile. You will need to sign into your online banking to use Payit via a web browser on desktop.
There is no limit on how much you can pay. However, there may be a limit on how much your bank allows you to pay. This is set by the bank and is not a limitation placed by Payit.
There is no charge to make payments with Payit.
Sometimes transactions may be held by your bank to do some further checks. You can check your mobile or online banking to see if the payment was released by the bank or contact them through your usual channels.

If Payit told you the payment was cancelled or failed, no funds should be taken. If the payment is in progress or you are unsure if it was successful, we suggest you wait for a few hours, then check your online or mobile banking again to see if it has gone through. If there is still an issue, please contact your bank.

Payit is a direct participant of Faster Payments, so once a payment is made via Payit, money should be taken out of your account almost immediately. However, this can sometimes take up to two hours.

- If you are using an Android device, use Chrome instead of Samsung Internet OR ensure you have enabled the setting in Samsung Internet under ‘Useful Features’ called ‘Open links in other apps’
- If you are on an Android device copy the browser link and open it in your standard browser app instead
